  • Protect young plants from slugs and snails

  • Deadhead daffodils

  • Prune early flowering shrubs like forsythia

  • Clean out ponds

  • Sow leeks, fennel, sweetcorn, tomatoes, courgettes, main crop potatoes.

  • Feed berries and currants with high nitrogen feed

  • Divide perennials
