Support your plants i.e. single canes for tall plants such as delphiniums, twiggy pea sticks for lower plants and circular wire mesh for things like peonies.

Deal with slugs and snails.....avoid chemicals where you can.

Make this the year you grow something to eat! radishes, spring onions, French beans, lettuces.
Earth up potatoes.
Plant out courgettes, squash and other tender veg. such as runner beans. BUT - Plant by the weather and conditions, not by the book ....as my father always said!
